Program Description:

Welcome!  Returning Students

   
 

We would like to extend a warm welcome to our returning students. It's great to have you back on campus.  To ensure that you are prepared to take the next step of academic challenge, you must show scholastic achievement with good academic performance (with a cumulative GPA of 1.9 or higher) at Izmir University of Economics in order to continue studying at New Paltz.

APPLICATION PROCESS

Step one - Submit an application online.

To apply for returning to the program, please click LOGIN on the menu bar at the top of this page.  Please use the Studio Abroad username and password you used last year to log in and follow the instructions. If you forget your password, you always can reset it by clicking on "Forgot your password?" under the login button in login page.  A temporary password will be sent to your personal email account. If you encounter any login issues, please email your problems to tsaicl@newpaltz.edu.

Step two - Submit required documents.

Once your application is accepted, you will asked to provide the following information and forms.  Please follow the instructions and complete the requirements. 

  1. Airport Arrival Information
  2. Attendance Response and Housing License Form
  3. Course Selections
Step three - Review learning content.

The learning content on the left-hand side of your application summary page presents all of the important information you need while applying to SUNY New Paltz, including the official airport pick-up dates, housing information and tuition costs and payment details. Although failure to review this content will not affect your opportunity to study at New Paltz, we strongly encourage you to read this material.

HEALTH INSURANCE

All international students are automatically enrolled in the international student health insurance plan provided by HTH Worldwide Insurance (http://www.hthstudents.com/). The SUNY policy provides access to excellent medical services in the local area, full coverage of prescription medication, and treatment for pre-existing conditions, as well as medical evacuation and repatriation coverage.  It is readily accepted by physicians and hospitals throughout the United States. .HOUSING AND MEAL PLAN

We encourage students to live on campus. It is a great way to make friends during your time in New Paltz and to have easy access to campus resources and activities. You can reserve a room on campus by sending us the Housing License by the deadline.  Information about the residence halls are on our website: http://www.newpaltz.edu/reslife/. *The costs are estimated based on currently available data and the actual amounts could be higher or lower based on mandated changes in tuition, variability in living expenses, or revision to fees or health insurance costs.

PAYMENT

You will receive a bill online after registering for classes in New Paltz. Payment is due on the first day of classes. You have several options to pay for your tuition, fees and living expenses, including paying by credit card, travellers checks, personal check, or cash.  You may also use an international wire transfer to pay the bill but please be aware that your bank may charge a fee for this service. This wire transfer process should be completed before you arrive on our campus.  Please contact the bank in your home country to request specific information about fees and procedures for transferring money to the United States.

Once you have contacted your bank, notifying the Office of Student Accounts that you will be sending a wire transfer and request the Routing Number and Swift Code.  You may contact the Student Account Office by telephone at (845)257-3150 or by e-mail at stuacct@newpaltz.edu.
