Study Abroad Photo Contest

We Want Your Photos From Your Study Abroad Experience!

Submission Deadline: March 9, 2015


SUNY New Paltz students who participated in a study abroad program during the following terms:
  • Academic Year 2013-14
  • Spring 2014
  • Summer 2014
  • Fall 2014
  • Intersession 2015


There are three categories into which you can submit your photos: 
  • Landscapes/Cityscapes/Landmarks
  • Arts and Culture
  • People

Photo submissions will initially be reviewed by the Center for International Programs staff. After this first round of judging, finalists' photos will be displayed on the Center for International Programs Facebook page in an album entitled "Study Abroad Photo Contest". Viewers will be able to vote on their favorite photos by simply "liking" the images they think should be declared the winner(s).

The winner of the contest will be anounced in April.  The grand prize will be a $50 Amex gift card and a blown-up copy of the winning photograph. Runners-up (one from each category) will receive a high-quality printed copy of their winning photograph.

Photos submitted will be displayed at the Center for International Programs and on the SUNY New Paltz Campus. Also photos will be use for promotional materials.

How to Enter

If you have studied abroad within the past year, you are eligible to enter the contest and should see an "Apply Now" button at the top and bottom of this brochure page. Once you've applied, you will be able to upload photos to your online application page.

When uploading your photos please label them with the following information:
  • Your name
  • Location of the photo
  • Approximate date photo was taken.
